We've spent a significant amount of time tuning Epic Units to make sure they are a novel, powerful addition to the gameplay experience but not an "I Win" button. These garrison slots add a new dimension to late game strategy, and we hope the fans enjoy the new enhancements as much as we have during our playtests. Each Epic Unit has a different number of customizable points, encouraging players to vary up their tactics with each faction they use. Garrisoning Nod's rocket militants gives the Reedeemer extra anti-air and anti-tank abilities, and garrisoning a Mastermind in the Eradicator allows the Eradicator to teleport itself. For example, garrisoning a sniper into a MARV adds an extra turret which increases anti-infantry firepower, while an engineer will gradually restore the health of the vehicle. We've also given Epic Units customization options, as infantry units can be garrisoned into them, with each garrison adding appendages that provide unique abilities. Likewise, the new structures that manufacture Epic Units each act as an additional War Factory queue. The Eradicator Hexapod is particularly cool, providing a cash return on each unit eliminated, making it both phenomenally dangerous and a valuable economic asset. Nod's Redeemer comes equipped with the ability to mentally manipulate its battlefield foes, forcing them into a fury of friendly fire. For example, the MARV acts as a super-charged Tiberium Harvester, siphoning funds straight to your bank as it plows through Tiberium fields. YES NO Beyond their obvious size and power, Epic Units also come equipped with special abilities that render them even more lethal. However, once unleashed, Epic Units can single-handedly take on a battalion of Tier 3 units promise to wreck havoc on your opponent. Much like the super-weapons our C&C fans are familiar with, constructing one of these behemoths will require the construction of its own production structure, and only one Epic Unit can be placed on the battlefield at a time. Not only are these units epic in terms of sheer scale, standing at three times the height of a Mammoth Tank, they are also epic in game-changing potential. GDI takes to the field with the new Mammoth Armed Reclamation Vehicle (MARV), while Nod wreak havoc with the Redeemer, and the Scrin with their Eradicator Hexapod. For the first time, each C&C3 faction has been outfitted with all-new Epic Units. However, when we started working on Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath, we wanted to equip players with another weapon, different in design but equally capable of making a massive, epic impact on the battlefield. In the past, unleashing a super-weapon such as GDI's Ion Cannon or the Brotherhood of Nod's Nuclear Missile was the optimal game-changing tactic. How do you turn the tide the tide of battle and cripple your opponent during the ultimate war for Tiberium?
